Behemoth

Behemoth (Bi-hee┬┤muhth)

A mighty, mortal beast (Job 40:15-16) that served as an object lesson for Job (Job 40:19-24). It was probably the hippopotamus, but intertestamental authors and later rabbis understood it to be of mythic significance.
