Dathan

Dathan (Day´thuhn)

A Reubenite who, with his brother Abiram, rebelled against Moses, claiming he had led the exodus in order to rule over the Israelites (Num 16). The earth swallowed Dathan and Abiram alive (Deut 11:6).
