King’s Highway, The

The major international route that traversed the entire length of the Transjordan’s plateau, running from Damascus to the Gulf of Aqabah. Moses sought to lead the Hebrews through Edom and Moab along a portion of this route (Num 20:17; Num 21:22; Deut 2:17).
