Latin (Lat´in)

The primary language used among the educated and romanized populace in the western part of the Roman Empire. According to (John 19:20), the official reason for Jesus’s crucifixion was written in Latin as well as in Hebrew and Greek.

20Many of the Jews read this inscription, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, and in Greek.
