Naamathite (Nay´uh-muh-thit)

The geographic or tribal identity of Job’s “friend” Zophar (Job 2:11; Job 11:1; Job 20:1; Job 42:9). Because he was of or from Naamah, his origins most likely were in central Arabia or southern Arabia.
