Nahalal (Nay´huh-lal)

A town of Zebulun (Josh 19:15) assigned to the Levites (Josh 21:35), but shared by Canaanite inhabitants (Judg 1:30, “Nahalol”) whom Zebulun was unable to expel. The location is uncertain, but it may be modern Tell en-Nahl on the Kishon River near modern Haifa.

Josh 19:15

15and Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem—twelve towns with their villages.

Josh 21:35

35Dimnah with its pasture lands, Nahalal with its pasture lands—four towns.

Judg 1:30

30Zebulun did not drive out the inhabitants of Kitron, or the inhabitants of Nahalol; but the Canaanites lived among them, and became subject to forced labor.
