The English engraver William Sharp (1749-1824) executed this half-length portrait of the founder of British Israelism, Richard Brothers, in 1795. It is inscribed: “Richard Brothers, Prince of the Hebrews. Fully believing this to be the man whom God has appointed, I engrave his likeness, William Sharp.”
