Christine Neal Thomas is Assistant Professor of Hebrew Bible at Xavier University and Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion. She holds a PhD in Hebrew Bible and Northwest Semitics from Harvard University and an MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary. Her research explores gender dynamics in biblical narratives as well as the roles played by royal women in the political world of Late Bronze Age Syria.
