Galilean

Gal´uh-lee´uhn

An inhabitant of Galilee (Matt 26:69; Acts 1:11; Acts 2:7; Mark 14:70; Luke 13:1; Luke 22:59; Luke 23:6; John 4:45; John 7:52). The term appears as an epithet for the insurrectionist Judas (Acts 5:37). The regional accent of Galilean speech apparently enabled others to identify origin by it (Matt 26:73).
