Luke, The Gospel According to


The third book in the NT, frequently called the Third Gospel. The author was apparently the same person who wrote the book of Acts (Acts 1:1) and has traditionally been identified as Luke, the physician who sometimes traveled with Paul. The Gospel emphasizes historical connections, worship, and mercy for the disadvantaged.
