Nee´huh-mi´uh; Heb., “Yah[weh] comforts”

Cupbearer to the Persian king who becomes a national hero of Israel due to his role in rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile. His story is told in the book of Nehemiah.
