Perga

Puhr´guh

A city near the Kestros River in the district of Pamphylia, about twelve miles inland from the southern coast of Asia Minor. It was at Perga that John Mark left Paul and Barnabas, on their first journey, to return to Jerusalem (Acts 13:13), and Paul and Barnabas preached here at the end of that journey as well (Acts 14:24).
